What is the mission of CASFI?

To welcome, support and accompany immigrant families in their integration process.

CASFI's services are primarily aimed at established immigrant families. in Ontariomore specifically in the Ottawa regionThey particularly concern newly arrived families, parents, children and teenagers living under the same roof or in close contact.

Yes, when they are part of an immigrant family (for example: single parent, young adult living alone but of immigrant origin). CASFI's approach remains focused on the extended family unit.

  • Youth and Mentoring Programs
  • Educational and social activities for children
  • Community and solidarity activities

Yes, all our services are free or offered at a symbolic cost, in a spirit of accessibility and solidarity.

Does CASFI fill out administrative forms, benefit forms, etc.?

No. CASFI does not offer administrative or legal services. However, we can direct families to the appropriate organizations and help them better understand the procedures.

No. CASFI does not provide housing, food, or clothing. However, we can inform families about local resources that offer this type of support.

Yes. CASFI organizes educational, recreational and social activities adapted to the needs of children from immigrant backgrounds, in a safe and caring environment.

Yes. The program Youth & Mentoring It offers young people a space for exchange, support and engagement, fostering self-confidence and a sense of belonging.

To promote the social, cultural and economic integration of immigrant families in Canada, in a spirit of respect, dignity and reciprocity.

No. CASFI is not yet a registered charity, and donations do not qualify for a tax receipt.

Is CASFI a religious or political organization?

No. CASFI is a secular, apolitical and inclusive organization, open to all origins, beliefs and orientations.

No. CASFI offers non-therapeutic psychosocial support. In cases of clinical need, families are referred to specialized services.

It is possible to get involved by becoming a member or volunteer, depending on your interests and availability.

No. Volunteering is open to any motivated person, according to the needs of CASFI.

The tasks may include:

  • Support for community activities
  • Welcoming families
  • Support for programs
  • Participation in one-off events

CASFI collaborates with various community partners, without intervening directly in schools or health centers. The organization facilitates referrals to these institutions.

Yes. Donations directly support CASFI's programs and activities.
