CASFI is a legally constituted non-profit organization in Canada on November 6, 2025. It operates according to principles of transparency, democracy and collective responsibility, in perfect consistency with its mission of welcoming, supporting and assisting immigrant families in Ottawa and the region.
CASFI is led by an Executive Board composed of four key positions—president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer—whose members are elected at the annual general meeting. These roles are filled by committed individuals, subject to the approval of active members, and dedicated to the good governance of the organization.

Our organizational model

CASFI adopts a clear and accessible organizational structure

CASFI adopts a clear and accessible organizational structure:

  • General Assembly of members → supreme decision-making body
  • Board of Directors → strategic management and oversight
  • Executive Office → Daily Operational Management
  • Working teams (volunteers, partners, stakeholders) → program implementation

CASFI operates according to a participatory model:

  • All active members have the right to vote at general meetings.
  • Leaders are elected for a renewable term.
  • Major decisions are made collectively.
  • Financial and operational transparency is ensured through regular reports to members.

This governance reflects our founding values: Unity – Love – Solidarity, and ensures that the organization remains true to its mission of serving immigrant families.
